Archaeological description
Auction Archaeological Center 2007: Syria, Palmyra? (Tadmor). A Roman Period square lead weight with a high loop handle, 17.10 gr., 4.7×2.8 cm., 0.3 cm. thick. The weight is inscribed with four Greek letters flanked by two twisted columns. The Greek inscription reads: ΓΡ / ΙΗ “18 grammata”. On the back, there is a framed central square. In good condition. (A. Spaer coll. no. W-180). Unpublished.
