Archaeological description
Auction Archaeological Center 2007: Syria, Palmyra? (Tadmor). A Roman Period square lead weight with a high loop handle, 156.73 gr., 8.7×5.2 cm., 0.9/0.6 cm. thick. The weight is decorated with three busts, two above and one below, flanked by two twisted columns. At top, garland. At the bottom, two mirror-shaped Greek letters: Γ Ϛ. On the back, there are three concentric rectangles. In fair condition. (A. Spaer coll. no. W-152). Unpublished.
