Archaeological description
Auction Archaeological Center 2007: Palestine, Anonymous (Southern Palestinian?). A Roman Period square lead weight with small handle at top, 34.40 gr., 3.8×3.8 cm., 0.4 cm. thick. The framed Greek inscription reads: LΒΟΡ / ΑΓΟΡΑ / Ι–Η / ΦΙΛΙΝΟΥ “Year 172” (year 140/39 BC), “Philinoy being agoranomos”. The reverse is blank. In good condition. (A. Spaer coll. no. W-147). Unpublished.
