Archaeological description
Kushnir-Stein 2002: Square lead weight with circular handle on its upper side. Reverse side is blank.
Auction Archaeological Center 2007: Palestine, Gaza. A Roman Period square lead weight with raised border and a handle. 102.5 gr., 4.4×4.6 cm., (6.6 cm. with the handle), 0.66 cm. thick. The Greek inscription reads: ΟΓΔ/ΟΝ (the letter Nin mirror-shape) “An eighth” which indicates the weight. The reverse is blank. In good condition and rare. (A. Spaer coll. no. W-134). Published by Alla Kushnir-Stein, 2002a, no. 6.
