Lifshitz 1976: Unveröffentlicht (Sammlung A. Spaer, Jerusalem). Form: Rechteckig mit kreisförmigem Zapfen am oberen Ende. Maße: Höhe: 65 mm; Breite: 45 mm; Dicke: 6 mm. Gewicht: 100 g. Vorderseite: Rechteck und Zapfen sind umrahmt. Von der zweizeiligen Inschrift sind nur noch die Buchstaben ΟΝ zu entziffern (die Lesung des Buchstabens Ν steht außer Zweifel; zu seiner Form siehe zu Nr. 6). Rückseite: Glatt, phönizisches Mem, die Initiale Marnas (siehe zu Nr. 1).
Auction Archaeological Center 2007: Palestine, Gaza. A Roman Period square lead weight with raised border and a handle. 102.3 gr., 4.9×4.6 cm., (6.6 cm. with the handle), 0.68 cm. thick. The Greek inscription reads: ΟΓΔ/ΟΝ (the letter Nin mirror-shape) “An eighth” which indicates the weight. The upper middle field is corroded and the two letters ΓΔ are damaged, but the reading is certain, based on the next, almost identical weight. On the reverse there is a large Phoenician letter mem in relief. In good condition and rare. (A. Spaer coll. no. W-1). Published by Baruch Lifshitz, 1976, no. 8.
