Kushnir-Stein 2002: Square lead weight with a semicircular handle on its lower side and traces of another extension (or loop) on its upper side. The reverse side is blank.
Auction Archaeological Center 2007: Palestine, Gaza. A Roman Period almost square lead weight with raised border and a handle. 44.14 gr., 4.3×4.8 cm., (5.6 cm. with the handle), 0.3 cm. thick. The Greek inscription reads: ΟΓΔΟ/ΟΝ “An eighth” which indicates the weight. At the lower middle field there are three upside-down Greek letters: CXO, which seem to be an abbreviation of an official’s name. The Phoenician letter mem is inserted at the beginning of the second line. The reverse is blank. The weight is in very good condition and rare. (A. Spaer coll. no. W-81).
