Archaeological description
Auction Archaeological Center 2007: Palestine, Anonymous (Judaean city?). A Byzantine round lead weight, 233.3 gr., 101 cm. in diam., 6.2/7.9 cm. thick. At top and at the beginning of the inscription, a cross is depicted. The Greek inscription reads: ΕΠΙ ΦΛΑ / ΒΑC ΕΘΥ ΚΑΙ / ΖΟΝΑΙΝΟΥ / ΛΑΜΠΡ ΡΡ ΕΦΟ ΡΡ / ΥΝΔΒΙ Λ Α. On the reverse a large letter Α is depicted surrounded by two registers decorated with diamonds and wavy lines. In very good condition. Rare. (A. Spaer coll. no. W-163). Unpublished.
