Archaeological description
Krapivina 2003: Private collection. Cleaned; well preserved. The weight is rectangular, measuring 3.6 × 3.4 × 0.4 cm; weight 51.3 g. On the obverse a dolphin r. is schematically represented. Beneath it the inscription ΟΛΒΙΟ | ΦΙΛΩ is legible. Below the tail of the dolphin is a circular countermark 0.8-0.9 cm in diameter with a representation of a woman – possibly Demeter – en face. The weight corresponds to 1/8 of the Euboic-Attic mina of standard 100.
