Additional comment
Forum Ancient Coins, no. AS115265.
Forum Ancient Coins: Tekin notes the volute krater was the main reverse type on bronze coins from Myrina and a symbol used on the reverses of posthumous Alexanders minted at Myrina. Although the abbreviated Ethnic MY is missing on our weight, not all the weights from Myrina have the ethnic. The shape of the vessel body and handles, and the pointed toe on the vessel base match the vessels found on weights from Myrina in Tekin. Also, there may be an obscure trace of the M to the lower left, and mold clearly did not fill on the lower right. This weight is likely the same type as the two we reference from Tekin and is thus very likely from Myrina, Aiolis.
