Archaeological description
Killen 2016: Quadratisches Gewicht mit Relief: Löwenprotome n. r., Kopf frontal.
Auction CNG 2004: Kings of Thrace. Lysimachos. Bronze 20 stater weight. 323–281 BC. Size: 42mm square; weight: 167.26 gm. High relief depiction of the forepart of a lion right; LU above, ST K below. Pierced on the edge in one corner. Fine condition, with earthen encrustation over a thick green patina. Very rare artifact of the period of the Diodochi.
Tekin 2018: Square lead weight. On the obverse there is a lion protome jumping right with three-quarter facing head, in relief. On the corners, from top left, Λ-Υ-Σ-[Ι]. Below the belly of the lion is a ΤΡ (ligature) which stands for triton. The reverse is blank.
