Archaeological description
Auction Archaeological Center 2007: Phoenicia, Arados (Arvad). A Hellenistic period triangular lead weight, 156.73 g, 5.6×5.6×5.4 cm, 1.8 cm thick. The base depicts the Phoenician monogram of the city of Arados. In the lower area the date is marked in Phoenician numeral: 20 (year 242/1 BC). The top is blank. In good condition. For similar weights see Elayi and Elayi 1997, no. 422 (A. Spaer coll. no. W-65). Unpublished.
