Auction TimeLine 2020: Roman Trade Weight with Leaping Lion. 1st–3rd century AD. A square tabular lead weight with an image of a leaping lion with symbols on the field. 265 grams, 51mm (2"). Fair condition. Provenance: Ex an important Dutch collection; acquired on the European art market in the 1970s.
Auction Ares 2019a: Hellenistic PB weight. Circa 2nd–1st century BC. Rectangular. Lion and inscription / Flat. Extremely RARE!!! Diameter: 50mm. Weight: 263gr. Condition: Very Fine. Provenance: From Coin Fair before 1980’s.
