Archaeological description
Autoptic examination:
Lead weight; square shape. Signs of wear and corrosion: many holes (on the left side of the amphora); two large cuts in the shape of a cross on the body of the amphora; grooves, double large cuts in the shape of a cross, hollows, holes and chippings on the reverse and on the sides. Rounded and folded corners; straight edges. On the obverse, frame and depiction of an amphora (Late Panathenaic) in relief. On both sides of the amphora, letters in relief: ΤΡΙ (on the left) ΤΗ (on the right). The reverse is plain. Standard 105.
