Archaeological description
BnF: Poids monétaire. Bronze. L: 3,46 cm; l: 1,53 cm; ép.: 2 cm; Poids: 26,6 gr. Un sphinx, la chevelure, répartie en étroites mèches raides de part et d’autre d’une raie centrale, est ramassée au-dessus de la nuque en six lourdes coques affleurant les épaules; la queue remonte sur la croupe, on distingue l’ourlet d’un vêtement passant sous la poitrine. Revers: Incription phénicienne: ŠQLY ḤΜΤ (sicles de Hamat).
