Archaeological description
Campagnolo and Weber 2015: Poids de 6 onces. Lieu de fabrication : Constantinople (?), 525-535. Laiton, argent et cuivre. Poids 161,20 g ; hauteur 43,0 mm ; largeur 43,0 mm ; épaisseur 11,0 mm. Incrustations conservées, mais oxydées (cuprite). Inv. CdN 61587. Dessin : no 5. Avers : 𐆄 – S ; deux empereurs en tenue militaire, tenant une lance, s’apprêtent à tuer un léopard, dans un environnement rupestre. Technique : gravé et incrusté d’argent et de cuivre.
