Archaeological description
Auction Archaeological Center 2007: Palestine (?), A Roman Period rectangular lead weight with a handle and high pyramidal frame, 106.33 gr., 5.0×6.1 cm., 7.5 mm. thick. In the frame a large letter Δ is marked. On the back a Greek inscription reads: ΑΥΛΟΥ | ΙΟΥΛΙ|ΕΥ ΔΙΟΓΕΝΩ =. In good condition. (A. Spaer coll. no. W-91). Now published in Kushnir-Stein 2009−10, 209−210 no. 3.
Vandermeiren: Poids de forme carrée, volume légèrement pyramidal, aux bords en relief, dépassants, bien marqués. Lettre Δ gravée au centre de la face. Poignée de forme trapézoïdale, sans contremarque. Revers lisse avec une inscription ; l. 1 outrepasse le bord de l’objet; l. 2 à 4 centrée. Inscription: . . Υ̣ΛΟΣ̣. / ΙΟΥΛΙ/ . . ΔΙΟ̣ / Γ Ε̣?Ṇ?OΣ̣
