Archaeological description
BnF: Poids byzantin en forme de pignon. Bélière en forme de lunule. Plomb. L. 5,6 cm; l. 4,6 cm; 0,8 cm; Poids: 73 gr. T.LE.KΣ.ΓЄΡΓΟΥ.ΑΓΟΡΑΝΟΜΟΥ.H. Une corne d’abondance; au pourtour, une bordure en relief ornée des méandres. Revers: le signe de Tanit.
Babelon & Blanchet 1895, handwritten note: Poids en forme de pignon. Une des faces est décorée d’une corne d’abondance entourée d’une légende dans un cadre: (?) LEKΣ ΓΟΡΓΟΥ (ἡ ΓΟΡΓΙΟΥ) ΑΓΟΡΑΝΟΜΟΥ Η (ou Τ LΕ ΚΣ ΓΕΡΓΟΥ) (τη λεξει κωνστατινου Γεωργιου). Dans cette dernière hypothèse, le poids serait byzantin? Les bords du poids sont décorés d’une frise de demi-cercle. Le revers est décoré d’un monogramme: Δο. Poids: 72 gr 60.
