Archaeological description
Froehner: Poids carré de bronze, athénien. H et L 30 mill. Croissant s'ouvrant vers le bas OMΔ. Autre exemplaire. Athènes, 1911.
BnF: Poids carré athénien. Bronze. H: 3cm; L: 3 cm; ép. 0,96 cm; Poids: 71 gr. ΔΕΜΟ (rétrograde). Croissant, les pointes en bas.
Autoptic examination: Bronze weight, square shape. Signs of wear and corrosion: chippings; light bumps and hollows; greenish; light relief on the upper left corner?; light vertical cuts (striations) on the right on the reverse; stroke on the left side. Straight corners, edges and sides. On the obverse, depiction of a crescent in relief. Below the crescent, letters in relief: Δ E M Ο (retrograde). (Height without relief: 0.9 cm).
