Archaeological description
Froehner: Poids athénien en plomb. L et larg. 0,075. O H osselet en relief M Δ. Poids: 845 gr. - Double mine. Poids normal de la mine (100 drachmes) : 436 gr, 6.
BnF: Poids athénien quadrangulaire. Plomb. L. 7,8 cm ; l. 7,5 cm ; ép. 1,50 cm (2,40 cm avec le relief) ; poids: 845 gr. (double mine). Inscrit Δ-H-M-O, avec une sorte d'osselet., legs 1925.
Autoptic examination: Lead weight, square shape. Signs of wear and corrosion: small strokes on the obverse and a bit of soil around the astragalus; small bumps and strokes on the sides; big groove on the right side; strokes and hollows on the lower edge on the reverse and grooves on the lower left corner. Rounded and very slightly raised corners; straight edges and sides; the reverse is slightly hollowed in the center. On the obverse, depiction of an astragalus in relief. In the four corners, letters in relief: Δ Η Μ Ο. On the reverse, modern tag with the number 127 on the upper right corner. (Height without relief: 1.9 cm).
