Archaeological description
Autoptic examination:
Christian Byzantine weight in bronze; square shape with two grooves all around the edge. It shows signs of corrosion and incrustations, particularly on the verso and along the four sides. The recto is decorated with dot arabesques and an incised square; inside the latter, are the letters Γ Β, indicating the denomination of two ounces. The verso is plain. The object is not symmetrical and, therefore, its height measures 0.45 from one side, and 0.35 from the opposite side.
