Archaeological description
Roman bronze counterweight in the shape of vase with lid. It shows signs of wear and corrosion, with green patina and coarse surface. The urn has a pronounced belly and a small base; at the bottom, a circle is incised. The lid presents a hole where a ring was probably inserted for suspension. The diameter measures: 2.5 cm (belly), 2.15 cm (top), 1.5 cm (base).

According to Museum records (Notizie Scavi), the weight was found in 1890 in an archaeological excavation campaign, led by E. Brizio, near Claterna (Bologna), along the Via Aemilia.
