Autoptic examination:
Roman bronze counterweight in the shape of head of faun, with ring for suspension at the top. It is in good conditions, with little sign of oxidation or wear. The head is decorated with curly hair, and presents two ram horns on the forehead and pointed ears; the nose and chin are pronounced and the neck is rather thick. The top ring is partially broken. The bottom of the weight presents an incised square panel. The object measures 4.65 cm (ear to ear) and 4.55 cm (shouder-line). The maximum width (back of head to nose) is 5.1 cm and the diameter of the neck is 3 cm.
