Archaeological description
Autoptic examination:
Roman bronze counterweight in the shape of acorn, with element at the top, where a ring – now missing – was inserted for suspension. It shows signs of corrosion, with dark green patina and incrustations over the whole surface; the body also presents two cracks. The top part of the acorn is decorated with concentric lines, which are still partially visible, and a Chi-Rho monogram in relief inside a small, depressed panel. The lower part of the acorn is plain. The maximum diameter measures 3.3 cm; at the bottom, it measures 1.8 cm.
