Archaeological description
Autoptic examination:
Roman bronze counterweight in the shape of amphora with ring for suspension. It shows signs of corrosion, with dark green patina over the whole surface. The amphora has a long, thin neck, which is decorated with three incised rings, and a pronounced belly; here, the surface is damaged by two deep cuts. The base presents a decorative ring in relief and a pointed end, with a flat button; at the top, there is a triangular element where the ring for suspension is inserted. The diameter measures: 4.9 cm (belly), 1.7 cm (neck), and 1.2 cm (pointed end); the width of the triangular top is 3.2 cm; the height of the object is 11.9 cm (or 13.6 cm, including the ring).
