Archaeological description
Autoptic examination:
Roman lead weight in the shape of a sphere. The piece shows signs of corrosion, with white patina, and it is heavily worn, with a large portion of the surface damaged and abraded. The sphere is decorated with seven incised vertical lines, which divide the surface in wedges; inside each wedge, three circles, made of different metal (bronze?), are inserted in the lead body. Since the object is damaged and deformed, the diameter measures 4.3 cm from one side and 4.1 from another side; the height is 3.85 cm.
