Archaeological description
Autoptic examination:
Roman basalt weight in the shape of a truncated sphere; black colour, well-polished. It is in good conditions, with only a few scratches and small dents along the round side and on the lower base. Here, small dots are incised to form the letters S and A; on the upper base, small dots form the letter X. The diameter of the sphere is 13.5 cm; the diameter of the upper base is 8.2 cm and that of the lower base is 8.7 cm.
