Archaeological description
Autoptic examination:
Roman basalt weight in the shape of a truncated sphere; dark colour, well-polished. It shows little sign of wear, with only minor scratches along the round body; the edges of the bases are well defined. The lower base presents 14 dots (very likely 15, but one is erased due to wear) incised and arranged to form a rectangle. The diameter of the sphere is 9.2 cm; the diameter of the upper base is 6.55 cm and that of the lower base is 6.7 cm.
