Autoptic examination:
Roman basalt weight in the shape of a truncated sphere; dark colour, well-polished. It shows little sign of wear, with only minor dents along the round body; the edges of the bases are smoothened. The diameter of the sphere is 9 cm; the diameter of the upper base is 5.9 cm and that of the lower base is 6.1 cm.
