Archaeological description
Autoptic examination:
Roman bronze weight in the shape of cup. The object is heavily oxidized; its surface is rather coarse, with green patina all over the body. The rim is worn; the internal surface presents circular lines: one is just below the rim, and other two concentric lines are on the bottom of the cup. It is likely that the object was part of a set of nesting cups - weights of decreasing dimensions which would fit one into the other in order to facilitate the stowing. The diameter of the rim is 4.8 cm, and that of the base is 3 cm.
