Archaeological description
Auction Malter 2011: Roman, 200–50BC., a lead weight in square shape, holed for attachment to go to steelyard. Weighs 211.6 grams. Size is 1 7/8" × 2.25". On obverse, recessed in the center are 3 figures. The largest representing a male with small child in a sitting position. The third figure is a female carrying a scepter. Punched on reverse side. In the four corners are a triangle with circle in middle representing god. Highly stylized and extremely rare. To the best of our knowledge is unpublished. Similar types found in Petrie and Munz Zentrum, November 1979. Paul Bessey Collection.
