Archaeological description
Autoptic examination:
Roman basalt weight in the shape of a truncated sphere; dark colour, with a green spot in the centre of the upper base; well-polished. It shows little to no sign of wear, and the edges of the bases are well defined. Two dots are incised in the centre of the upper base and indicate the denomination of the weight, that is, two scripula. The lower base is plain. The diameter of the sphere is 1.05 cm; the diameter of the upper base is 0.75 cm and that of the lower base is 0.8 cm.
