Autoptic examination:
Roman basalt weight in the shape of a truncated sphere; black colour, well-polished, and in very good conditions. In the centre of the upper base, a vertical line is scratched to indicate the denomination of the weight - that is, a Libra. The lower base is plain but slightly abraded. The diameter of the sphere is 6.3 cm; the diameter of the upper base is 3.2 cm and that of the lower base is 4.1 cm.
