Archaeological description
Autoptic examination:
Roman bronze weight in the shape of a truncated sphere. The piece shows signs of oxidation and its surface is rather coarse. The lower base presents one dot incised in the centre, which has been partially erased due to corrosion. The lower base is concave. The denomination of the weight is an Uncia, corresponding to 1/12 of a Libra. The diameter of the sphere is 1.8 cm; the diameter of the lower base is 1.2 cm and that of the upper base is 1.05 cm.
