Archaeological description
Autoptic examination:
Roman bronze weight in the shape of a truncated sphere. The piece shows signs of wear and corrosion, with green patina and coarse surface. The upper base presents one dot incised in the centre, and its edges are rather smoothened by wear. The lower base is concave and it presents one dot as well. The denomination of the weight is an Uncia, corresponding to 1/12 of a Libra. The diameter of the sphere is 1.2 cm; the diameter of the lower base is 1 cm and that of the upper base is 0.95 cm.
