Archaeological description
Autoptic examination:
Roman basalt weight in the shape of a truncated sphere; black colour, well-polished, and in very good conditions. In the centre of the upper base there is a dot indicating the denomination of the weight: it is an Uncia, corresponding to 1/12 of a Libra. The lower base is plain. The diameter of the sphere is 2.6 cm; the diameter of the upper base is 1.65 cm and that of the lower base is 1.7 cm.
