Archaeological description
Autoptic examination:
Roman stone weight in the shape of a truncated sphere; beige colour with dark veins; well-polished and in very good conditions. In the centre of the upper base there is a dot (incised and rather deep) indicating the denomination of the weight: it is an Uncia, corresponding to 1/12 of a Libra. The lower base is plain. The diameter of the sphere is 2.6 cm; the diameter of the upper base is 1.6 cm and that of the lower base is 1.85 cm.
