Autoptic examination: Lead weight, square shape. Signs of wear and corrosion: very light strokes on the frame; small bumps on the amphora and the countermark; light cuts and grooves on the sides; on the reverse, small strokes, greyish and very slightly concave edges. Straight corners, edges and sides; the upper right corner is flattened and folded. On the obverse, thin frame and depiction of an amphora in relief. The amphora’s neck, foot and handles are long and thin. The handles extend to the rim. On the right and left edges, letters in thin relief: HMI METPO. On the amphora’s body, round countermark with a helmeted head of Athena to the right (?). [LW]
