Archaeological description
Autoptic examination:
Roman basalt weight in the shape of a truncated sphere; dark colour, well-polished. It is in good conditions, with only one small scratch on one side. The edges of the bases are rather smoothened by wear. It is not perfectly symmetrical, so that the height measures 4.2 cm on one side and 4 cm on the opposite side. The bases are plain: the diameter of the upper base is 3.2 cm, and that of the lower base is 3.5 cm. The diameter of the sphere is 6.2 cm.
