Glass weight. Disc. Colour (Farbe): dunkelblau. Iconography: No cross. Wreath: line.
CPAI III/2: 7th century AD? Eastern Mediterranean. Weight for a gold coin (tremissis). Glass, 18 x 3 mm; 1.40 g. Inv. no. PMA 2867. Acquired in 2007. Description: Dark-blue coloured, transparent round weight with a central impression. The cruciform monogram is composed of the letters Π(?) or C on the left, maybe a Γ at the bottom, an E on the right, and the ligature Description: Dark-blue coloured, transparent round weight with a central CONCORDANCE impression. The cruciform monogram is composed of the letters n (?) or C on the left, maybe a I at the bottom, an E on the right, and the ligature at the top. With the letter Π on the left side there is no meaningful resolution for the monogram yet. Reading a C instead of the Π the monogram can be resolved as CEΡΓΙ. A similar monogram is found on silverware dating to the 7th century.
