Archaeological description
Autoptic examination:
Roman basalt weight; black colour; well-polished. The piece is worn, with some dents and scratches; the edges of the upper and lower bases are slightly smoothened. The upper base bears the label of a former repository; in the centre of the lower base, there are 15 well-visible dots, regularly incised to form a rectangle; the base is rather damaged by abrasion and there might have been more dots. The diameter of the lower base is 5.7 cm, while diameter of the upper base is 5.6 cm.
