Archaeological description
Autoptic examination:
Square bronze weight. One face presents the legend ΑΜ ΒΡ in relief and on two lines, indicating the city of Ambracia as minting authority. In the middle, and vertically dividing the legend in two parts, is a column whose base, pedestal and capital are well defined. The column is in high-relief, particularly the pedestal; therefore, the height of the weight varies from 2 to 1.3 cm. The other face is plain. The object shows some signs of corrosion, with light green patina; overall, it is in good conditions.
